Dive Trips 2021-2023

Cyprus 4-11 October 2023:  Seven club members had a very enjoyable week in Cyprus, using the excellent services of Will and his team from the Divestop diving centre in Protaras. The weather was glorious, water 28 degrees (and clear!), and some brilliant wreck diving was had, including the famous Zenobia. Thanks to Tina for the great organisation.

Swanage 10-12 June 2023:  The club's annual trip to Swanage was a great success, with excellent weather, great diving and good company.

Plymouth 6-8 May 2023:  The weather could have been better, but some memorable diving was had, thanks to the In Deep Dive Centre.

Basildon 1 April 2023:  Two hours in the warm water of Basildon Underwater Studios were enjoyed by many of our members, mainly with a view to getting experience at depths up to 6m.

Red Sea Live-aboard November 2022:  All twenty members included on this trip had an amazing time, thanks to the great service and support given by the crew and dive guides of the Whirlwind. Some people managed to perform all four dives every day and the wrecks and marine life certainly did not disappoint!

Basildon 3 July 2022:  Aimed at giving Ocean Diver trainees experience of depths up to 6 metres, this warm water pool is a regular venue for the club and did not disappoint once again!

Swanage 10-12 June 2022: Four Ocean Divers undertaking their first sea dives were amongst the large group visiting Swanage for a fabulous, sunny weekend. A breeze made for a bit of a swell, (which didn't suit everybody!),  but visibility was good and everyone enjoyed plenty of diving with our regular hosts - Divers Down. Thanks go to Graham, Mary and Tina for the organisation. See photos here.

Sharm El Sheikh November 2021:  Four members travelled to the Red Resort for a fantastic week's diving in 26 degree water!

Plymouth: November 2021 saw a small group of hardy divers travel to Plymouth for a late in the season dive trip. Dives included; HMS Scylla (a Royal Navy Frigate Ship); James Eagan Layne (a WWII Liberty Ship); Glen Strathallan (a Trawler which also served in WWII and later converted to a private yacht).  It was not the best visibility but a good weekend was had by all. Thanks to all dive buddies, Ron, John, Luke S, Graham D & Mary.

Basildon July 2021:  Another successful trip to one of the club's favourite indoor venues, giving our Ocean Diver trainees some deeper water experience.

Swanage June 2021:  See dive report here.
